Scores of investment managers have grouped together to ask companies to improve disclosures about how they manage their global workforces so that best practice can be identified, according to Reuters.
The group includes 79 asset managers who have written to 50 UK companies.
Reuters quotes Jeanette Andrews, corporate governance manager at Legal & General Investment Management, as saying: “As a large and long-term investor, information on a company’s culture and employee engagement is important to understand the sustainability of business practices and long-term prospects.”
