Hornby Plc, the model railway hobby group whose well-known brands also include Airfix, Corgi and Scalextric, has appointed Nicholas (Nick) Batram as a non-executive director.

Batram’s background is in finance, with more than 30 years’ experience working for financial institutions. Most of this time was spent focused on researching and advising small and mid-cap companies.

In 2016, Batram joined Entain plc, the FTSE 100 sports betting and gaming group, initially heading up Investor Relations & Strategy and, until recently, as group director of M&A and Corporate Development.
