IT managed services provider Redcentric has appointed Nick Bate as independent non-executive chair.

Bate will be a member of the remuneration committee and also chair the nomination committee.

He takes over from Ian Johnson, who has stepped down from the board.

Bate is a chartered management accountant with strong experience in corporate M&A transactions and as a non-executive director of companies across the data, communications, software and financial services sectors. Most recently he was on the board of directors of technology company Nasstar for over six years.

Peter Brotherton, CEO of Redcentric, commented: “I am delighted to welcome Nick to Redcentric on behalf of the board. His breadth and depth of experience brings a welcome perspective to the board and his expertise in the IT and service environment will be of great value to Redcentric going forward.”
