Ocado Group plc has announced that Rachel Osborne has been appointed as an independent non-executive director. Osborne will also become a member of the audit committee and the people committee when she joins the board.
Osborne stepped down from the role of chief executive of Ted Baker this month. She has held a number of senior executive positions, including as CFO of Debenhams, of Domino’s Pizza Group plc and as finance director of the John Lewis Division within the John Lewis Partnership.
Osborne was a non-executive director of Dunelm Group plc in 2018 but stepped down to prevent a conflict when she joined Debenhams plc. She has also held a non-executive director role at HM Courts and Tribunals Service.
Rick Haythornthwaite, chair of Ocado, said: “I am delighted to welcome Rachel to our board. Rachel’s significant executive experience and strategic approach will be a valuable addition to the board and I look forward to working with her.”
