Reckitt Benckiser Group plc—the consumer group multinational trading as Reckitt—has announced the appointment of Marybeth Hays to its board as a non-executive director.
Hays brings more than 25 years’ experience in retail, healthcare and consumer goods to the Reckitt board. In the decade until February 2019, she held various roles of increasing P&L responsibility at three of the four operating divisions of Walmart, including most recently as executive vice president of consumables and health & wellness for Walmart US, and as chief merchandising, marketing, and supply chain officer for Walmart China.
Prior to this, Hays served as senior vice president/general merchandising manager for two Walmart US divisions and at Sam’s Club; as merchandising VP at home improvement retailer Lowe’s Companies, Inc; and as VP of marketing at clothing company HanesBrands, Inc.
Hays is currently a director and member of the audit committee of JOANN Stores, Inc, and serves on the board of directors for Leapfrog Brands, Affordable Care and Decowraps. Hays is an executive-in-residence with management consultancy Kearney, and works directly with clients through her company, Hays Advising LLC.
