Vesuvius plc has announced the appointment of Robert MacLeod as an independent non-executive director of the company with effect from 1 September 2023. He will serve on the board’s audit, remuneration and nomination committees.
A chartered accountant with an industrial materials background, MacLeod currently serves as a non-executive director and chair of the remuneration committee of RELX PLC, a global provider of information-based analytics.
In his executive career, MacLeod was CEO of specialty chemicals provider Johnson Matthey PLC from 2014 until 2022, having joined the company as group finance director in 2009. Prior to this, he worked at WS Atkins PLC, latterly serving as group finance director.
MacLeod started his career at KPMG, before joining Enterprise Oil Plc, where he worked in a variety of senior finance and M&A roles both in the UK and US.
