The Restaurant Group plc, whose trading brands include Wagamama and Frankie & Benny’s, has announced the appointment of Helen Keays as a non-executive director.

Keays, currently a NED and chair of the remuneration committee at soft drinks manufacturer Nichols plc, was until August 2020 senior independent director at Domino’s Pizza.

She had previously held non-executive roles at several companies, including Communisis, Majestic Wine and the former Chrysalis Group. Prior to her lengthy non-executive career, Keays held positions as marketing director at Sears Financial Services and customer management director at Vodafone.

Ken Hanna, The Restaurant Group chair, said: “I am delighted to welcome Helen to the company and the board. She brings nearly 20 years of experience as a non-executive director in the food and hospitality sector as well as other consumer industries. Helen has extensive marketing and corporate strategy experience, and I and the rest of the board are all looking forward to working with her.”
