Ulrich Körner is the new group chief executive officer of Credit Suisse, replacing Thomas Gottstein, who is resigning.
Körner joined Credit Suisse in 2021 from UBS, where he served as member of the group executive board for eleven years, of which six years was spent leading the Asset Management division. Prior to this, he was chief operating officer.
Before joining UBS, Körner was an executive at Credit Suisse and held various roles, including chief financial officer and chief operating officer of Credit Suisse Financial Services and CEO Switzerland. He holds a doctorate in Economics from the University of St Gallen, Switzerland. He is vice chairman of the board of an international boarding school near St Moritz.
