Food giant Nestlé has proposed the appointment of Luca Maestri and Chris Leong as board directors.
Maestri is senior vice president and chief financial officer at Apple. He was previously CFO at Xerox Corporation and at Nokia Siemens Networks, and is a former vice president and CFO of General Motors Europe.
Leong is chief marketing officer and member of the executive committee at Schneider Electric. She previously held various positions at Nokia, including senior vice president for Greater China, Japan and Korea, and senior management roles at WPP, Bates Asia, Ogilvy Europe and Grey Global Group.
The election of new board members will take place at the Nestlé AGM in April.
Paul Bulcke, chair of the Nestlé board, said: “We are delighted to propose two new board members. Luca Maestri has an outstanding track record in finance and strategic planning, which includes helping to build one of the world’s most valuable companies. Chris Leong has delivered excellent results in marketing, digital industries and B2B, and offers a strong understanding of Asia and emerging economies in general.”
