Former Booker CEO Charles Wilson has joined the board of logistics group Menzies Distribution as a non-executive director.
Wilson retired earlier this year after 15 years at the helm of wholesaler Booker. He has acquired a significant minority shareholding in Menzies, representing approximately 10% of the company’s share capital.
Menzies appointed Andy Clarke, former CEO of Asda, as chair earlier this year.
Clarke said: “Menzies is a great British brand and we are making excellent progress on our journey of growth and diversification. I am delighted to welcome Charles Wilson to the board as a non-executive director and significant shareholder.”
