Intelligence, events and research group Informa has appointed Zheng Yin to its board as a non-executive director.
Zheng is executive vice president, China at Schneider Electric, and has held previous senior roles at Philips Electronics, Dow Jones and Reuters Group.
He will take up his new role on 20 December, when he will also join the nomination and remuneration committees.
A statement from Informa said: “Zheng will provide valuable on-the-ground insights on the latest macro-economic and commercial trends in China and Asia, a significant and growing trading region for Informa.”
