This consultation on the UK Corporate Governance Code focuses largely on internal control, assurance, and resilience. Its proposals were developed to address the policy issues asked of the FRC by the government in its response to the consultation: Restoring Trust in Audit and Corporate Governance. When the new code is issued, it will be part of a wider framework of measures that will improve accountability, build trust and support investment and stewardship decisions in the UK. Comments on the questions set out in this consultation document are requested by Wednesday 13 September 2023.
