Travis Perkins plc has announced the appointment of Jez Maiden to the company’s board as a non-executive and senior independent director with effect from 1 June 2023.
Maiden has more than 40 years’ business, leadership and corporate experience spanning sectors including household FMCG, management consultancy, food manufacturing, transport and chemicals.
Before joining Travis Perkins, Maiden will retire from chemicals company Croda International, having already stepped down from its board, where he held the position of group finance director.
Maiden is currently a non-executive director and member of the audit committee at Intertek Group. He has previously served as a non-executive director, audit & risk committee chair, and a member of the remuneration and nomination committees at PZ Cussons plc and as a non-executive director at chemical manufacturer Synthomer, where he was senior independent director and chaired the audit committee.
