Robin Ashton joins The Nottingham

The former Leeds Building Society chair has been appointed to the Nottingham Building Society’s board as a non-executive director.

Nottingham Building Society has announced the appointment of Robin Ashton to its board as a non-executive director with effect from 1 December.

Ashton spent more than seven years as chair of the Leeds Building Society, and has served as a NED and chair of the audit & risk committee at Domestic & General Group since 2019. Previously, he was senior independent director at Shawbrook Group plc, chairing the remumeration committee.

Andrew Neden, chair at Nottingham Building Society, said: “We are delighted that Robin is joining us. He brings significant experience and a proven track record which will be extremely valuable to our Board. We look forward to the positive impact he will have on our organisation.”
