The IoD Centre for Corporate Governance has spoken to many directors and senior managers from companies of all sizes as well as investors, advisors and academics; surveyed over 700 IoD members; and engaged an independent researcher to analyse the corporate governance characteristics of a selection of innovative UK companies.
This report identifies specific governance factors that can potentially influence companies’ willingness and ability to innovate. While the exact manner in which they impact will differ according to each company’s circumstances, for example its size and structure, they are relevant to all companies.
