With a great deal of industry experience and 10 years in technology and consulting, Alec’s areas of expertise include analytics, artificial intelligence, IoT and Industry 4.0. Alec is a Chartered Engineer and holds an MBA from SDA Bocconi, Milan.

Maggie McGhee

Maggie McGhee is executive director, governance at ACCA. She formerly served as director of ACCA’s Professional Insights, heading a team of technical and policy experts. A chartered accountant with a degree in law, Maggie trained with the UK’s National Audit Office, rising to become director general of audit. With more than 18 years’ experience of auditing central government bodies, she has both UK and international experience of engaging extensively across the audit and accounting profession.

Sophia McNab

Sophia McNab is campaign manager at ShareAction, the responsible investment charity. She joined ShareAction in May 2014 to develop and run the Empower Programme, ShareAction’s environmental education programme for Londoners. She has a background in climate change campaigning in the UK and at the UN Climate Talks. Sophia holds a First Class MA (Hons) in History from the University of Edinburgh.

He is a very experienced practitioner and routinely advises insolvency practitioners, lenders and other stakeholders in all aspects of corporate insolvency and distress situations. He advises in connection with SMEs and larger companies and groups. Alan has been involved in many of the most high profile insolvencies in Scotland over many years.

Curtis Milhaupt

Curtis J Milhaupt is the William F Baxter-Visa International Professor of Law at Stanford Law School and a senior fellow, by courtesy, of the Freeman Spogli Institute for International Studies at Stanford University. His research and teaching interests include comparative corporate governance, the legal systems of East Asia, and Chinese state capitalism. Prior to his Stanford appointment in 2018, Professor Milhaupt held chaired professorships in comparative corporate law and Japanese law at Columbia Law School. Professor Milhaupt has held numerous visiting appointments at universities around the world and is the recipient of two teaching awards. Prior to entering academia, he practised corporate law in New York and Tokyo with a major US law firm.

Dev Modi

Dev Modi has held senior roles such as head of inclusive leadership at YSC Consulting, head of coaching at Grant Thornton and senior business psychologist at the BBC. He is currently a partner at Equiida, a leadership advisory business dedicated to inclusion, innovation and improving performance.   His core areas of expertise are inclusion and diversity, inclusive leadership, leadership assessment and culture change.   Dev has a Bachelors in Management Science from LSE and a Masters in Organisational Psychology from City University. He is an associate fellow and chartered member of The British Psychological Society.

Peter Montagnon

The late Peter Montagnon was an associate director at the Institute of Business Ethics, a member of the Corporate Governance Advisory Board of Norges Bank Investment Management, and a member of the board of Hawkamah Institute, Dubai. Peter was previously senior investment adviser at the Financial Reporting Council, and director of investment affairs at the Association of British Insurers. Peter started his career as a financial journalist, including 20 years at the Financial Times where assignments included Asia editor and head of Lex.
