María del Carmen Valls Martínez is a PhD in Economics and Business. In 1995 she joined the Economics and Business Department in the University of Almería (Spain), as a grant holder, where she became a professor in 1996 and a senior lecturer since 2001. Her current research interests include financial operations, ethical banking, genre economic studies and health economy. She has published numerous articles in reputable international journals, where she is also a reviewer.
