Lucy Cryan

Lucy Cryan is a manager with StoneTurn, a global advisory firm on regulatory, risk and compliance issues.. She specialises in investigations, dispute resolution, and compliance. Over the course of her career, Lucy has conducted investigations into fraudulent activity, accounting errors and audit negligence. She also has experience in post-acquisition and business interruption disputes. Most recently, Lucy compiled a financial gains analysis to aid a telecommunications company’s self-disclosure to the SFO regarding a violation of the UK Bribery Act. She also led an investigation into the alleged negligent audit of a company in administration, which included detecting and quantifying financial misstatements, as well as a comparison of the company’s work against the International Standards on Auditing. Additionally, Lucy conducted the anti-bribery and corruption review of a prominent oilfield services company ahead of its acquisition, including reviewing its ABC policies and procedures, leading interviews with key management personnel to help determine the awareness of economic crime risk in the business. Prior to joining StoneTurn, Lucy was a forensic accountant at a Big Four accounting firm, where she also worked in the energy and resources audit department. In the latter role, Lucy advised clients in the oil and gas, nuclear and utilities industries which included FTSE 100/350 listed companies and large multinationals, as well as private and not-for-profit organisations. Lucy is a Chartered Accountant.
