Jaap Winter is a visiting professor of corporate governance at INSEAD and professor of corporate law, corporate governance and behaviour at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. He was the first dean of the Duisenberg school of finance, setting up the school in 2008–09. He is also professor of international company law at the University of Amsterdam. He is a partner at the law firm De Brauw Blackstone Westbroek in Amsterdam. His practice areas include corporate governance, M&A and corporate litigation.
