Gavin Hayes

Gavin Hayes is Head of Policy and Public Affairs and Net Zero Champion at the Chartered Institute of Internal Auditors. In this role, Gavin leads on policy, public affairs, PR, and advocacy. Gavin is the author of the report 'Cultivating a Healthy Culture' and co-author of 'Navigating Geopolitical Risk'. Gavin is also a member of the Financial Reporting Council’s Stakeholder Insights Group. Gavin has a background in public policy, campaigns and communications. His previous roles include Aviation Campaign Director at the business membership organisation London First, where he led the organisation’s airport expansion campaign ‘Let Britain Fly’; Editorial Director at the public policy events and communications specialist Neil Stewart Associates and before that General Secretary of the centre-left political campaign group Compass.
