Brian Cheffins

Brian R. Cheffins is the S.J. Berwin Professor of Corporate Law at the University of Cambridge and is former Chair of the Cambridge Law Faculty. He is a Fellow of the British Academy, an ECGI Fellow and a Guggenheim Fellow. Professor Cheffins has held visiting appointments at Columbia, Duke, Harvard, Oxford, Stanford, the University of British Columbia and the University of Western Ontario. He has written widely on corporate law, corporate governance and business history. Professor Cheffins’ most recent book is The Public Company Transformed (2018).
