Hilton Food Group plc has announced the appointment of Gwyn Burr to the board as a non-executive director and chair of the board’s remuneration and sustainability committees with effect from 3 September 2026. She will succeed Rebecca Shelley, who is stepping down from the board on the same day.

Burr has more than 20 years’ non-executive board experience across listed, private and mutual organisations and is currently chair of the board of the Skipton Group and a non-executive director of international food wholesaler Metro AG.

Her previous non-executive experience includes roles as a non-executive director, senior independent director and remuneration committee chair with Just Eat Takeaway, Taylor Wimpey plc, Hammerson plc, Made.com Group plc and Sainsbury’s Bank plc.

Burr’s executive career spanned 25 years and included roles with Nestlé/Rowntree, ASDA and Sainsbury’s, where she served latterly as customer services & colleague director.
