Financial services provider Legal & General Group Plc has announced the appointment of Stephen Shelley as an independent non-executive director, with effect from 1 December 2026. He will join L&G’s group risk committee and group audit committee on appointment.
Shelley is currently group chief risk officer of Lloyds Banking Group plc (a position he will retire from in October).
Prior to joining Lloyds Banking Group, Shelley held senior roles at Barclays Bank PLC, including chief risk officer at Barclays Corporate and the UK Commercial Bank and before that, chief credit officer for the UK Retail and Corporate business.
