Naked Wines plc has announced the appointment of Susan Hooper as a non-executive director with immediate effect. She has assumed the role of senior independent director and chair of the remuneration committee from Deirdre Runnette, who is stepping down from the board.
Hooper is a highly experienced board director with a proven track record across multiple sectors including business services, consumer, leisure and ESG. She is currently a non-executive director of Uber UK, Moonpig Group Plc (where she chairs the remuneration committee) and Chapter Zero, which she co-founded in 2019. In the past, Hooper has non-executive board roles at Tangle Teezer, Eurowag plc, Affinity Water and Rank Group, Caresourcer, Wizz Air and the Department for Exiting the European Union.
Her earlier career includes senior leadership roles at Centrica, PepsiCo International and Acromas Travel (including the brands Saga and the AA). She was managing director of British Gas Residential Services and has also held senior roles at Royal Caribbean International, Avis Europe, McKinsey & Co and Saatchi & Saatchi.
