Oxford Metrics plc, the sensing and software company, providing solutions across life sciences, entertainment, engineering and smart manufacturing, has announced the appointment of Gary Bullard as non-executive chair of the board. He succeeds Roger Parry CBE, who will remain as a non-executive director until the end of the month.
Bullard is currently non-executive chair of Gooch & Housego plc, a global photonics and advanced materials company, and AFC Energy plc, a developer of hydrogen fuel cells and ammonia crackers for zero-emission power generation, both of which are listed on AIM. He was also a non-executive director and chair of the remuneration committee of Spirent Communications plc until its acquisition by Keysight Technologies Inc last month.
Bullard brings extensive non-executive experience to the role, having been a director of Rotork plc from 2010 to 2019 and Chloride Group plc from 2005 until its acquisition by Emerson Electric in 2010.
Bullard spent a large part of his career in global roles at IBM Corporation, and has held senior executive positions at BT Group plc (as president of BT Global Services and as UK managing director) and Logica plc (as UK CEO).
