Investec PLC has announced the appointment of Louisa Stephens as an independent non-executive director of the board.

Stephens has extensive experience in investment management and corporate governance and has served in executive roles at Circle Capital Ventures and Nozala Investments. She held non-executive directorships across a range of listed and unlisted companies.

Currently, Stephens is a director of entertainment provider MultiChoice, Netcare Limited and Strate Proprietary Limited. She previously served as a director of Scancom PLC (MTN Ghana), The lnstitute of Directors in South Africa NPC, Royal Bafokeng Platinum Limited, African Bank Limited, South Ocean Holdings Limited and AFGRI Limited. She was fund manager of the uMnotho Fund at the National Empowerment Fund.

The London and Johannesburg listed company’s board congratulated Louisa on her appointment as a non-executive director, saying members looked forward to working with her in the coming years.
