Phoenix Group Holdings plc has today announced the appointment of Sherry Coutu CBE to its board of directors as an independent non-executive director and member of the remuneration committee with effect from 1 May 2025.
Coutu is currently non-executive director of Pearson plc, where she chairs the remuneration committee and sits on the nomination & governance committee. At Raspberry Pi plc, she is senior independent director, chair of the remuneration committee and member of the audit and sustainability committees.
Coutu has previously served as a non-exec on the boards of London Stock Exchange Group plc, RM plc, Zoopla plc and Interactive Investor plc. She spent her executive career as an investor and entrepreneur within the technology sector.
Over the past 23 years Coutu has made angel investments in more than 70 companies and holds investments in five venture capital firms. She has been an angel investor in companies such as leso, 5minsAI, Closed Loop Medicine, Maven, LOVEFiLM, Duedil, LinkedIn, Bonobos and others.
