DFS Furniture plc has announced the appointment of Tony Buffin as an independent non-executive director of the company effective from 24 February 2025. He will also join the audit committee, remuneration committee, responsible and sustainable business committee and nomination committee, from that date.

Buffin is chair of Nobia AB, a leading European kitchen specialist headquartered in Stockholm. He is also a non-executive director of Applied Nutrition, which recently listed on the London Stock Exchange.

Buffin is chair of business data consultancy Tecsa, and has previously sat on the board of Kingfisher plc.

In his executive career, Buffin held senior roles at Holland & Barrett, Travis Perkins plc, Plumbing & Heating Toolstation and Australian retailer the Coles Group.
