The Institute of Directors has appointed three new non-executive directors: Renee Hunt, Mark Pacitti and Dr Vikas Shah MBE.

Renee Hunt is an executive leader with more than 30 years of experience in a variety of technical and business roles across: financial services, media, telecoms and the public sector. She was most recently chief technology officer at Compare The Market. She has served as a trustee and vice chairman of Opera North.

Mark Pacitti is a non-executive chairman/director, board adviser and corporate finance specialist. He spent the majority of his career as a partner with Deloitte in London, where his leadership roles included being partner in charge of London and global leader within the corporate finance advisory practice. A former chair of Smithson Investment Trust plc, Pacitti is currently chair of Arran Aromatics Limited, a private equity portfolio company of Endless LLP.

Vikas Shah is an entrepreneur and investor. He has more than 15 years’ experience in non-executive roles working with UK government departments, and large professional services and technology businesses. He is an honorary professor at the University of Manchester’s Alliance Business School, honorary professorial fellow at the Lancaster University Management School and was formerly a visiting professor on the MIT Sloan MBA in Lisbon.

Commenting on the appointments, John Browett, chair of the IoD, said: “I am delighted to welcome all our new directors to the IoD Board. They each bring significant and varied experience that I am confident will add significant value as the Institute continues to build on the growth in membership and stronger financial position that we have secured through the modernisation work of the last few years.

“I am looking forward to working closely with Renee, Mark and Vikas as we move on to the next stage of that development.”
