Associated British Foods plc, the global food and retail group, has announced that Loraine Woodhouse is to become a non-executive director of the company.
On her appointment next month, Woodhouse will become a member of the audit and remuneration committees. It is also intended that she will chair the audit committee from 24 April 2025, when Richard Reid will have completed nine years as a non-executive director.
Woodhouse has experience across all finance disciplines and has worked within many sectors—including retail, food and real estate—in her executive career.
Woodhouse was chief financial officer of Halfords Group plc. Other previous roles include being finance director of Waitrose, chief financial officer of Hobbs, finance director of Capital Shopping Centres Limited and finance director of Costa Coffee.
She currently serves as a non-executive director and audit committee chair of Pennon Group plc and The British Land Company plc.
Woodhouse was previously a non-executive director of The Restaurant Group plc and of Bristol Water plc.
