DFS Furniture PLC has announced the appointment of Bruce Marsh as an independent non-executive director of the company, effective from 1 August 2024.
Marsh will also be appointed as a member of the audit committee, remuneration committee and nomination committee from that date.
Marsh is the chief financial officer of Curry’s PLC and previously held senior positions with Tesco plc, Kingfisher plc and Dixons Retail plc.
Steve Johnson, DFS chair said: “I am delighted that Bruce is joining the board. His significant retail experience as the CFO of Curry’s PLC is directly relevant to DFS’s strategy. His extensive experience leading finance teams, maintaining robust financial controls and improving planning and performance for ‘big ticket item’ retailers will bring valuable experience and insight to the board. I look forward to working closely with Bruce over the next few years.”
