Bellway PLC has announced the appointment of Cecily Davis as an independent non-executive director of the company. She also becomes a member of the audit, nomination, sustainability and remuneration committees.
Davis’s senior executive experience of leadership and influencing has been gained through her lengthy tenure as a senior partner with European law firm Fieldfisher, where she is co-head of the Africa Group.
Specific projects she has advised on include waste-to-energy projects, gas storage and transportation projects, desalination plants, manufacturing facilities, hotel developments, regeneration schemes, high-end residential developments and office and retail schemes.
As well as her time in private practice, Davis spent a secondment with a major international engineering, procurement and construction contractor.
Davis also currently serves as a non-executive director on the board of Triple Point Social Housing REIT PLC, and has previously acted as non-executive director of both L&Q Group and Places for People.
