Whitbread PLC has announced that Dame Cilla Snowball has been appointed as a non-executive director of the company. She will also join Whitbread’s audit committee.
In her executive career, Snowball served until 2018 as group chief executive at Abbott Mead Vickers BDDO Ltd, and on the BBDO Worldwide board. She was chair of both the Advertising Association and the Women’s Business Council.
Snowball is a non-executive director at Derwent London plc and Genome Research Ltd. She is also a governor of the Wellcome Trust.
Commenting on the appointment, Adam Crozier, Whitbread’s chair, said, “I am delighted to announce the appointment of Cilla Snowball as a non-executive director. As a senior advertising executive, with experience of leading a people business and a strong understanding of branding, digital and technology, Cilla will be a great asset to the Whitbread board.”
