Games Workshop Group PLC has announced that John Brewis will be promoted to non-executive chair of the board when Elaine O’Donnell steps down in January.
Brewis has been an independent non-executive director of the company since 2018 and the senior independent director since 2021. Since 2019, he has chaired the remuneration committee and been a member of the audit and risk and nomination committees.
Brewis has over 30 years’ experience in high-volume manufacturing businesses. In his executive career, he held various roles within Reach Plc, formerly Trinity Mirror Plc, including as managing director of the group’s manufacturing division.
The company confirmed that Brewis’s appointment came after a formal recruitment process had been followed, involving a third-party board-level recruiter.
Games Workshop was founded in 1975 as a mail-order business for fantasy role-playing games, and now sells millions of miniature models worldwide.
