Experian plc, the global information services company, has announced the appointment of two new independent non-executive directors to its board.

Kathleen DeRose is a professor at the New York University (NYU) Stern School of Business, the director of the NYU Stern Fubon Center for Technology, Business, and Innovation and of its FinTech Initiative. DeRose is a non-executive director of London Stock Exchange Group plc, Voya Financial, Inc. and Enfusion, Inc. DeRose’s career in global financial services has taken her to Credit Suisse, Hagin Investment Management, Bessemer Trust, Deutsche Asset Management, and Chase Manhattan Bank.

Louise Pentland was most recently executive VP and senior adviser to the CEO at PayPal Holdings, Inc. She led PayPal’s legal and regulatory requirements across all markets working with international regulators and oversaw its ESG strategy, as well as intellectual property, innovation and HR. Pentland is a NED of Hitachi and the Pacific Mutual Holding Company. She previously held senior roles at Nokia.

Mike Rogers, chair of Experian, said of DeRose and Pentland: “They bring a wealth of experience from a wide range of international businesses and have a great deal to offer Experian. In addition, they have considerable executive and non-executive listed boardroom experience, which will further enhance the strength, depth and effectiveness of the Board. We look forward to working with Kathleen and Louise as we continue to develop and execute Experian’s successful strategy for growth.”
