McDonald’s Corporation has announced the election of three new board members:
Anthony Capuano has worked at global hospitality company Marriott International since 1995, taking on his current role as CEO last year.
Jennifer Taubert is executive vice president and worldwide chair of pharmaceuticals at healthcare giant Johnson & Johnson and has been on Fortune’s “Most Powerful Women” list for the past six years. Before joining Johnson & Johnson, she held roles at Merck and Allergan.
Amy Weaver is president and CFO of Salesforce, and previously worked for Expedia.com. She has spent much of her career as a lawyer.
Enrique Hernandez Jr, McDonald’s chair, said. “It is a testament to this great brand, and a continuation of the rich legacy of its board, that we are welcoming such experienced, global leaders to help steward McDonald’s continued success. Each of these individuals represent the highest calibre of values-based leadership, bringing deep and varied expertise to help guide the company.”
Chris Kempczinski, McDonald’s president and CEO, welcomed the new members, saying that they are “inspiring leaders with a demonstrated track-record leading large, complex organizations. Their experience stewarding some of the world’s most respected global brands will benefit McDonald’s greatly and position the company for continued growth.”
