Luxury fashion group Burberry has announced the appointment of Danuta Gray as a non-executive director.
Gray will also become a member of Burberry’s remuneration and nomination committees when she takes up her new board role on 1 December.
Gray is a former CEO of Telefonica O2 in Ireland and previously held several senior executive positions at BT. She is chair of Direct Line Insurance Group and a former chair of St Modwen Property. She has previously served on the boards of Aldermore Bank, Old Mutual, Page Group, Paddy Power and Aer Lingus.
Gerry Murphy, chair of Burberry, said: “Danuta is a highly experienced non-executive director and chair, having served on the boards of a variety of listed companies. She also has a strong understanding of consumers and the use of technology gained through her executive career. We are delighted that she has accepted our invitation to join the Burberry board”.
