Deutsche Bank has recommended Alexander Wynaendts for election as chair of its supervisory board.
If elected at the company AGM in May 2022, he will succeed current chair Paul Achleitner.
Wynaendts is the former CEO of Aegon, a European financial institution providing life insurance, pensions and asset management. He began his career at ABN AMRO, where he spent 13 years in private and investment banking in Amsterdam and London.
Wynaendts currently holds positions on several boards, including Citigroup, Uber Technologies and Air France-KLM.
Christian Sewing, Deutsche Bank CEO, said: “I look forward very much to working with Alex Wynaendts. He has vast experience in the financial industry and an excellent network, not only in Europe but also globally.”
