Ex-Netflix CFO Wells will replace the money transfer company’s co-founder Taavet Hinrikus within the next year.
Money transfer company Wise has announced that co-founder Taavet Hinrikus will step down as chair within the next year and be replaced by David Wells.
Wells is a former chief financial officer at Netflix, and is the Wise board’s senior independent non-executive director. He has been a member of the board since 2019.
Wise—formerly known as TransferWise—listed on the London Stock Exchange this week. It was valued at £8bn—London’s largest ever tech float.
