Ben Francis is returning to the role of chief executive at fitness clothing and lifestyle company Gymshark.

He will take over next month from current CEO Steve Hewitt, who has been with the company since 2015. Hewitt will become executive president of the company.

Francis said in a company video released on You Tube that Hewitt “didn’t think he was the right person to take Gymshark to the next level” and thought Francis should take on the role.

“I’ve worked in so many different facets of the business I really think I’m in an amazing position now where I can amalgamate all of that knowledge, experience and expertise and hopefully be the person that can really help to lead Gymshark to this next level,” Francis added.

Hewitt expressed his support for Francis, commenting: “I always said I’d take it so far but now it’s it’s really time to hand the reins back to you… I couldn’t be more excited for you—I think you will absolutely smash it.”
