Board moves: David Smith named as non-executive chair of Kavango Resources

Smith will lead the board at the mining company, while Ben Turney joins as an executive director to the board of directors.

Kavango Resources has appointed David Smith as non-executive chair and Ben Turney as an executive director to the board of directors.

Smith has worked in corporate finance and the equity capital markets for over 30 years. He will lead the board at Kavango with particular focus on internal controls and corporate governance.

Ben Turney has been working as a consultant in public relations for the company since April 2020 and has played a key role in reshaping the company’s investor relations.

CEO Michael Foster said in a statement: “We welcome David and Ben onto the Kavango board to join Mike Moles and myself.

“Their contribution to Kavango will be invaluable as we move forward with our exciting exploration projects in Botswana.”
