Michael Macdonnell has been named as chief operating officer of biotechnology company Sensyne Health.
Macdonnell was previously director of global deployment at Google Health and is a former director of strategy at NHS England.
He will take up the newly created role later this month.
Sensyne Health uses artificial intelligence algorithms to analyse anonymised patient data to help pharmaceutical companies accelerate the development of new medicines.
