Andalas Energy and Power, the Indonesian oil and gas company, has appointed Dr Robert Arnott, a former investment banker and veteran board member, as a non-executive director.
Dr Arnott is currently the chairman at Hurricane Energy, the UK oil and gas company.
Andalas chairman Paul Warwick said: “I believe his appointment to the board and support of our strategy is a clear signal to the market that Andalas is an emerging energy company with significant potential to make a material contribution to Indonesia’s energy industry, where new power sources are critically needed to keep up with current demand let alone future growth.”
Dr Arnott has worked for 30 years in oil and gas including time at both Morgan Stanley and Goldman Sachs. He also served at Spring Energy, the Norwegian oil and gas company, and Core Energy AS. He has been chairman at Petroceltic International, Global Petroleum and Oyster Petroleum.
