Jack Tai, former chairman of JP Morgan’s Asia-Pacific region, is to become a non-executive at HSBC.
Tai will serve on the group risk committee and financial system vulnerabilities committee.
HSBC group chairman, Douglas Flint, said: “It is rare to find the combination of hands-on banking expertise, top-level governance experience and the deep knowledge of Asia and China that Jack accumulated throughout his career.”
Tai is currently a non-executive at Eli Lilly, MasterCard, and Royal Philips NV. He also serves on he Canda Pension Pensin Plan Investment Board.
