The Developments Report, published by the FRC in 2016, has four main purposes: to give an assessment of corporate governance and stewardship in the UK; to report on the quality of compliance with, and reporting against, the two Codes; to give our findings on the quality of engagement between companies and shareholders; and to indicate to the market where we would like to see changes in governance behaviour or reporting. In addition, the Report summarises and comments on other relevant changes over the last 12 months, such as developments in the market and regulatory framework.
