The International Corporate Governance Network has revealed the nominees for the 2018 stewardship awards.
The ICGN offers three awards: Stewardship Champion, Stewardship Disclosure for Asset Managers, and Stewardship Disclosure for Asset Owners.
The Stewardship Champion Award recognises organisations and individuals whose work has “helped make stewardship a reality in the markets”.
Nominees include: The Canadian Coalition for Good Governance; Cartica Management LLC; Edward Mason, Church Commissions for England; Hermes EOS; and Neils Lemmers, Dutch Investors Association (VEB).
The Disclosure Awards are given to those who provide genuine insight into the policies and how they are implemented.
Nominees for the Asset Owners Award include: CalSTRS, Canadian Pension Plan Investment Board, HESTA Super Fund, NZ Super Fund and RPMI Railpen.
Nominees for the Asset Managers Award include: Allianz Global Investors, Aviva Investors, BlackRock, Robeco, and UBS Asset Management.
The awards will be presented at the ICGN Global Stewardship Forum on 4th December in London.
